AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.

Affirmations are not unrealistic "wishful thinking." They are like repetitive exercises that improve our physical health: affirmations are like exercises for our mind and outlook.

Affirmations create a pathway for growth.

You need to let go of any negative thoughts and images and bombard your subconscious mind with new thoughts and images that are positive and stated in the present tense : this is what you achieve with affirmations.

Affirmations work

Visualize the reality you desire.

Set goals around that reality, and speak it out by affirmations.

You can create positive effective  affirmations for yourself.

Look at the steps below:

  1. Start with the words “I am.” These are the two most powerful words in the English language.
  2. Use the present tense.
  3. State it in the positive. Affirm what you want, not what you don’t want.
  4. Keep it brief.
  5. Make it specific.
  6. Include an action word ending with –ing.
  7. Include at least one dynamic emotion or feeling word.
  8. Make affirmations for yourself, not others
